Wilson Lea, CFP®
Financial Planner
Wilson has always had a passion for helping people. Whether it's lending a hand to a mother carrying a stroller up a stairway, providing a listening ear to a stressed out friend, or just putting a smile on somebody's face, his personal mission in life has always been to leave people better off. Ultimately, that's what led Wilson to a career in financial services.
As an advisor, Wilson gets the unique opportunity to combine his personal mission in life with his professional mission, which is to help people accumulate, manage, preserve, protect, and ultimately transfer their wealth for the benefit of themselves and their loved ones. When asked what's the most important service he provides his clients', he says "Clarity. People are better off when they understand their options and what the goods and bads of those options are. Like many things in life, financial decisions are all about tradeoffs".
Wilson began his career in financial planning in 1997. Over the years, Wilson has worked with retirees, business owners, and individual families. He has helped clients with asset management, accumulation goals, retirement income strategies, and wealth transfer. He is experienced in both portfolio design and risk management analysis. Wilson holds a degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. In continuing his career related education he attended De Paul University's certificate of financial planning program in Chicago. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner (CFP®) certification and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation.
In addition to being an advisor, Wilson is a lover of music, enjoys spending time with his family, and likes to play basketball, snowboard, and kite surf.
